Another dish

Last Sunday tried cooking radeokki (fried rice bar and instant noodles). Tastes better than it looks.

Today's dinner

Fried rice with curry sauce. Yummy!

Bad Hunch

I've been having a bad hunch these two days. It's like knowing that something bad is going to happen but not knowing what it will be. That's why I got a blue mood yesterday and today.

Whatever it is, I'll be fine! Hello, world! I love you!

Rainy day, blue Wednesday

Started to rain last night. Feeling somewhat blue today. Just another day to survive.

Great food in Seoul

Mulnaengmyeon 물냉면 (cold noodles)

Kimchi jjigae 김치찌개 (kimchi pot)

Samgyetang 삼계탕 (ginsin chicken soup)

Haemulpajeon 해물파젼 (seafood fried pancake)

Yukhoe 육회 (raw beef)

Seolleongtang 설렁탕 (beef bone soup)

Pi Gung Ma Ma

"Gung" is probably the biggest hit in Korean drama 2006 so far. The leading characters and supporting roles all received huge attention. A newly opened shopping complex in Myeong Dong used the price and princess in the drama in their opening events.

Time Flies

Five days passed fast in vacation. Improved my Korean a little. It's more expensive an inconvenient to go by ourselves, but definitely better if you want to really know the place.

Day 3, great shopping!

Found a great place for shopping -New Core Outlet, which also has a Kim's Club in the complex. The outlet is located at Jamwon dong, Kangnam, near Banpo station of line #7 or Jamwon station of line #3.

Day 2 in Seoul, wandering around

Walking all day. Found a famous jazz pub many Korean dramas shot in. CheongGaeCheon is really beautiful. Also saw a car same as mine.

Trip to Seoul, day 1

Okay, it's day 2 now. Had a rough start yesterday. A trip with no plan at all is not a good idea. To be continued.

Ready to run Windows on Macintosh?

Apple announced a new feature called Boot Camp which allows user to run Windows natively on its Intel-based machines. I'm really thrilled by this good news.

Mac Mini dimensions
I use a Mac Mini and my LCD TV in my living room right now, and the combination works great especially with Apple's bluetooth keyboard and mouse

Maybe I should get a Intel-based MacBook next year. A notebook that runs both Windows and OX X, with built-in iSight top-notch camera, wireless networking, bluetooth and a remote control to play music, movies and photos, what else can you request?

Mmm, lower price, I guess...

My Niece

Shu-Xin, now 14-month old, is expecting to receive the catelogue of a famous baby clothing company in Japan. It was her first performance in the modeling career. Mmm...maybe she'll be the next Alessandra Ambrosio.

Yo-xuan, whose father just passed his 3-month trial period. Maybe too early to tell what she can be, but she's got loud voice and a performing talent. You'll know what I'm talking about if you ever see her cry.

Microsoft Says Happy Birthday to Apple

30 years ago, two young men decided to start a new business in their garage, and now we have the always-innovative Apple, Inc. While many articles dedicated to the great journey of Apple are posted to celebrate its birthday, the long-time rival, evil witch -Microsoft- also posted a JPG to greet Apple. I wonder if Apple does beat Microsoft with its Intel-Based new machines that also runs Windows XP SP2 natively, will the giant still be so graceful?

Josie's Wedding

Also need to congratulate Josie and Lex. Both my friends in university, they got married on 2006/03/30. Still waiting for pictures to post. Unless my memory is messed by MIB, Josie was not with Lex, and Lex was not with Josie a few years ago. Anyway, you're both winners!

Another story in the wedding banquet. The only person I knew on my table was a guy who I couldn't remember his name (but he knows mine :p). I couldn't sleep well until I finally get his name back to my RAM. When we were in school, he's like a bamboo stick, but now he's like a Teddy Bear. That's what happens to middle-aged men. Sigh!

Congratulations to Winnie!

Just heard the news. My colleague in Shanghai, Winnie, got married last week. Prince Charm is a British gentleman whose faily lives in France and is now working in Shanghai. Winnie is a girl of great personality and enjoys travelling. She's got a web site to share her photos.

Cathy's Boy

Last week we went to see Cathy and her baby before she moves to Japan. Her boy is 3.5 months old, weights 8 kg, and a noticable big head -just like his father and grandfather. Shotaro Waki is the name. Maybe he'll become a young man already next time I see him again.
